First Reading of Ordinance 1183 To Amend and Reenact Sections 7-01-01 and 7-01-06 of the Valley City Municipal Code Related to Building Permits (City Attorney Martineck)
A building permit shall be required for the addition or enlargement of non-structural concrete, including but not limited to sidewalks, driveways, patios, parking pads, and equipment pads; however, a permit is not required if there is no change to the original footprint of an existing area of concrete.

A stormwater permits for land disturbing activities on properties or activities exempt from submission of a storm water management plan is still required, in accordance with chapter 10-05.

Engineer Petersen discussed the 2026 mill and overlay and seal coat construction project. This agreement is for preliminary and design engineering at a maximum compensation of $92,500.00.
