WHY?
To discuss proposed improvements to Main St, Central Ave S and City Park in Valley City. The project consists of adding decorative lighting, benches, and trash receptacles throughout the project area; curb and gutter improvements along Main St and Central Ave S; installation of two traffic signals along Main St; and mill and overlay along Central Ave S.

This meeting is designed to allow for public input which is required for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1970, National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966.
Representatives from the NDDOT, City of Valley City, and KLJ will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your concerns.

The NDDOT will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
- an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,
- language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP), and
- translations of written material necessary to access NDDOT programs and information.
Appropriate provisions will be considered when the Department is notified at least 10 days prior to the meeting date or the date the written material translation is needed.

To minimize group size and contact, as recommended by state and federal government officials due to COVID-19 and as allowed in ND Executive Order 2020-16, this will be televised on CSI Channel 68.
City of Valley City Hosting COVID-19 Response Briefing on May 13
WHO: Officials from City-County Health District, City Government, the Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce are expected to speak.
Speakers will include:
- Theresa Will – Administrator for City-County Health District
- Jennifer Feist – Director of Development for Valley City Barnes County Development Corporation
- Kay Vinje – Executive Vice President for Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce
- Dave Carlsrud – Valley City Mayor
WHAT: Each organization will provide updates and information pertaining to recent developments in the COVID-19 community response. All officials will be available following the briefing for questions from media partners.

The briefing is closed the public to honor social distancing. Members of the public can view live on City-County Health’s Facebook page, KOVC 1490 AM, BEK Channel 26 and CSI Cable 68.
The City Hall and Public Works Office will be closed Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day. The Transfer Station will be open Saturday May 29th from 8am-12pm. Monday’s route will be picked up Tuesday. Tuesday’s route will be picked up on Wednesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will follow the regular pick-up schedule.
