Comprehensive & Transportation Plan

The City of Valley City developed a Comprehensive & Transportation Plan to serve as a guide for growth and development through 2045. The plan was approved by City Commission on August 20, 2019 through Resolution No. 2216.

Valley City Permanent Flood Protection Map

The planned flood protection plan in phases.

The Permanent Flood Protection (PFP) map shows the overall plan for permanent flood protection as planned to date (Nov. 1, 2023). The existing floodplain is indicated on the map which shows the overall properties that will be protected with PFP.
